The St. Michael's School Association (the SMSA)

As the fund-raising branch of St. Michael's School, we enjoy organising social activities for both the children and the parents throughout the year. Annual organised fund-raising events include the Bonfire Night, Christmas Fair, Christmas Ball, Pantomime, Quiz Night, Summer Camp Out and Summer Fair.

The fact that we raise more than 10 times the national average for PTAs is testament to the wonderful enthusiasm and commitment of ALL the parents in the school, but in particular the committee of the SMSA.

All parents and carers at the school are members of the SMSA and as members you are welcome to join any of our meetings throughout the year. We are always looking for new ideas so if you have one, please let us know!

The SMSA has a committee of volunteer parents and school staff representatives. This committee meets every month and an AGM is held towards the end of the academic year when new committee officers are elected.

Committee Members:

·         Chair – Trish Littler

·         Vice Chair – Ruth McBurny

·         Treasurer – Sarah Rayment & Jenny Taylor

·         Secretary – Kate Waine

·         Head (ex officio) - Barbara Smith

·         Teaching Staff –  Sarah Palmer

·         Link Governors – Bill Nathan, Peter Franklyn & Karen Revel Chinon

·         Parents Re-united - Ronnie Day & Anne Holve
